Team Leader

As a Team Leader you will be a critical link between colleagues operating on the production line and the department shift manager. This is the first step towards a managerial position whilst remaining an operational hands on role.

You will have overall responsibility for an operational area within a production department. You'll be trained to be able to do all tasks within your area, providing support to the line as well as supervising colleagues.

You will be responsible for:

    Leading by example to ensure standards are achieved in key areas such as health and safety, food safety, environment, hygiene and of course product quality assurance Having a great understanding of your production requirements and ensure your line is operating efficientlyWorking closely with your shift manager to make sure that you have the right people in place at the right time with the right level of skills to deliver production targets Coaching, training, developing and motivating your team to achieve

We're looking for people with;

    Experience of supervising others within a production or manufacturing environment where you will have ideally led a small team of people An understanding in the use of lean tools such as root cause analysis, 5S workplace organisation and the SMED change over process and you will have ideally used these or other lean practices in your previous roles Experience of supporting, training and coaching colleagues and the willingness to learn and develop these skills, building relationships and create a fantastic team spirit

As well as the training we will provide, we coach and mentor our employees to progress and develop your career.

This is a permanent position on an annualised hours' contract basis with requires you to commit to a rotating shift pattern of Nights (10pm - 6am) Afternoons (2pm - 10pm) and Mornings (6am - 2pm). This pattern may change in line with production requirements, so a flexible approach is key.
