Location: Plymouth, Devon
Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum (DOE)
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

\nKey Responsibilities\n
\n - Review tender documentation, specifications, drawings, and project requirements.
\n - Prepare detailed cost estimates and pricing schedules for commercial construction projects.
\n - Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
\n - Carry out quantity take-offs and cost analysis.
\n - Identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering solutions.
\n - Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, and internal teams throughout the tender process.
\n - Assist in the preparation and submission of tender documents.
\n - Maintain accurate records of estimates, costs, and pricing data.
\n - Support project handovers to operational teams upon successful tender awards.
\n - Monitor market trends, material costs, and labour rates.
\n
Requirements\n
\n - Previous experience as an Estimator within the construction industry.
\n - Strong experience working on commercial property projects.
\n - Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
\n - Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
\n - Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
\n - Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software.
\n - Excellent communication and organisational skills.
\n - Full UK Driving Licence.
\n
Desirable\n
\n - HNC/HND or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
\n - Experience pricing refurbishment, fit-out, and new-build commercial projects.
\n - Knowledge of JCT contracts and construction procurement methods.
\n
